City write up: Indian Harbor Beach- Born over sixty years ago, I am still young as far as cities go. I am vibrant . . . I am beautiful . . . I am peaceful. I am the City of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, and developed as a residential community in support of the growing space industry and activities at nearby Kennedy Space Center, from which man first traveled to the moon. Fairly small as cities go, I am only two miles square, and over 8,446 citizens call me “home”. Of diverse backgrounds and all ages, my residents enjoy an ideal location on the east coast of central Florida, nestled between the beautiful blue Atlantic Ocean and the calm waters of the Indian River Lagoon.
